Nearly a year since leaving The View, Sherri Shepherd has signed a deal to return to the daytime talk show as a lead contributor for the upcoming 19th season. She is expected to appear in about 50 episodes, according to Deadline.
Shepherd’s return is the result of the show undergoing several creative changes, as ABC is looking to reignite the show’s ratings. Raven-Symone and Michelle Collins recently joined longtime co-host Whoopi Goldberg following the announced departures of Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace.
