For supermodel Tyra Banks, the sting of that double standard has weighed heavy on her heart in ways her fans had never known until she opened up about her fertility issues recently.
In a clip from an upcoming episode of ‘FABLife,’ Banks and co-host Crissy Teigen speak candidly about the societal pressures to marry and conceive. Banks even got an bit emotional when speaking of the topic, stating:
“I just feel like we’re so hard on each other and so judgmental of each other and a woman that is divorced three times is more normal than a woman that has not been married.
I am so tired of seeing on my social media, ‘Why don’t you have kids? Why don’t you have kids?’ You don’t know. You don’t know what I’m going through,” Banks said as the tears began to flow.
Isn’t it sad how it’s more acceptable in today’s society to be a ‘baby mama’ than to be a woman over 40 with no kids?? *sigh*
