CLEVELAND– The mother of 12-year-old Tamir Rice testified in front of the grand jury Monday afternoon.
The FOX 8 I-Team first broke the news that Samaria Rice had been asked by prosecutors to testify in her son’s case.
Tamir was shot by a Cleveland police officer at the Cudell Recreation Center on Nov. 22, 2014 and died the next day. Police thought the gun he was handling was real. It was an airsoft pistol that police say looked like a real gun.
