A new show streaming on Netflix is causing a buzz among students and concern in local schools. Two local districts sent home letters to parents on Wednesday about the show 13 Reasons Why. The fictional story centers around a girl’s suicide.
13 Reasons Why debuted on Netflix in March and has quickly become one of its most-streamed shows. It tells the story of Hannah Baker, who committed suicide, and the 13 reasons why she did it.
Parents in Brunswick and Chagrin Falls received letters from their respective school administrations informing them about the show.
“The Netflix special is causing a bit of conversation amongst the students,” Liz Jansen told us
