The man accused of starting the Fultz Street house fire that killed a family of seven is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning.
Stanley Ford is due in Akron Municipal Court Wednesday at 9 a.m. for arraignment.
Ford, 58, was a neighbor to the Boggs-Huggins family. Ford lived on Hillcrest Street, which runs perpendicular to Fultz Street.
Ford is charged with one count of aggravated arson and seven counts of aggravated murder as five children and their two parents died. A sixth child was not home at the time of the fire.
Police executed search warrants at Ford’s home late last week, just days after the deadly fire. Ford’s arrest was announced Tuesday.
Investigators are also reviewing a second arson case that occurred on Fultz Street last year in which two people were killed.
