Serena Williams expresses gratitude toward her mom for being a strong role model, and addresses all of her body-shaming critics in an emotional letter written to her mother, Oracene Price.
Using her fiancée Alexis Ohanian’s social media service Reddit, Williams began by noting that she is already seeing a physical likeness between her and her newborn daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.
“She has my arms and legs! My exact same strong, muscular, powerful, sensational arms and body,” Serena wrote of her first child, born Sept. 1 in Florida. “I don’t know how I would react if she has to go through what I’ve gone through since I was a 15 year old and even to this day.
