If the Supreme Court can’t do it who will?

The NAACP is jumping over legal hurdles to get police reform into action and not just talk about it.

NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LDF) is asking the Supreme Court to overrule a decision in Alabama that gave immunity to an officer who tased a man 19 times, killing him.

Deputy Sherrif killed 25-year-old Khari Illidge after tasing him 19 times while he was unarmed, subdued and naked. According to NewsOne Now, “Illidge, suspected of trespassing, was having an apparent mental health crisis. After 19 total tasings, he died from cardiac arrest, according to LDF.”

The LDF argue against the circuit court that the Sheriff violated tasing guidelines and police training. No word on if the Supreme Court will look over the case at this moment.
