OSU set to spread Buckeye joy into outer space.

Ohio State University is space-bound after sending up the first rocket called CubeRRT successfully into space.

The rocket was carrying a satellite and supplies early Monday morning NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Virginia. All will be heading for the International Space Station.

Not only will the rocket be useful to the men and women at the space station but OSU hopes to learn more about how to solve a major problem noisy radio transmissions. These transmissions can interfere with detecting what’s happening on Earth from space.

The rocket was named after a popular 80’s arcade game “Q-Bert.”
