CLEVELAND – Cleveland police received more calls of large groups of dirt bikes and ATVs riding around various highway locations on Saturday.
Police said reports of the groups came in around 6 p.m. Dirt bikes and ATVs were spotted on I-70, 176 and I-480, according to authorities. One viewer contacted News 5 concerned when he saw two riders popping wheelies at the I-90 West/I-71 South split near downtown. He said cars were forced to swerve.
Officials estimated about 100 dirt bikes and ATVs were caught taking over city street in Lakewood and Cleveland last weekend. The drivers refused to stop for officers who attempted traffic stops, according to police.
