Dear Sam

My fiance passed away unexpectedly. Me and his family were always real cool up until he passed. I had quit my job and uprooted to live with him until we got married. That was his idea. His family has pretty much excluded me in all the funeral planning. Until I got a phone call from his insurance agent saying I was the beneficiary. His family was planning this big elaborate funeral. When I know he would have wanted a small funeral and to be cremated. Plus I know he would want me to be okay, and be able to move back home if I chose. Should I let his family have their way and pay, or should I do what I think he would have wanted?
