Summer is usually the time when EVERYONE decides to cool down during those warm temps by having something cold…like ice cream.
Well, July is the perfect month for the popular frozen treat, because it happens to be National Ice Cream Month. That tradition has been that way for 35 years.
President Ronald Reagan declared July to be National Ice Cream Month in 1984, and the third Sunday of every July to be National Ice Cream Day.
Speaking of National Ice Cream Day, it is coming up on Sunday, July 21.
Here in Cleveland, a local company is helping to celebrate both the big month and holiday.
Hometown ice cream maker Pierre’s is even offering new additions to their signature lineup that include French Toast, Honey Roasted Peanut Sundae and Peanut Butter Commotion.
