The Fantastic Voyage is already one of the best parties of the year but this one is particularly special. Tom, Sybil and the gang are ready to welcome you to the most entertainment-packed cruise ever! Here’s a quick look at some of the very special musical performances on the cruise this year.

ALL-STAR TRIBUTE TO FRANKIE BEVERLY

The band Maze featuring Frankie Beverly has been around for the past four decades and is still going strong. The hits “Before I Let Go” and “Joy and Pain” are part of the life soundtrack for hundred of thousands of the group’s primarily African-American fans. Even without a radio hit for the last several years, the band is as in demand on the road as ever. This year, the Fantastic Voyage 2010 pays tribute to this classic group in appropriate form: with an all-star lineup of performers that will honor Maze in style.

KEM – The Detroit-based balladeer has made a legion of fans with his jazzy R&B song stylings. His supple, romantic vocals are a great fit for a Maze tribute. His own albums “Kemistry” “Kem II” are among the most romantic of the last decade.

KEVON EDMONDS – Emerging from the shadow cast by his younger brother Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Kevon was able to find his own success as part of the hitmaking trio After 7. Their songs “Can’t Stop” and “Ready Or Not” are staples on every urban adult contemporary playlist. Since the group broke up, Edmonds has pursued his own projects and just released a solo CD “Who Knew.”

JOE – He is among the most successful singer/songwriters of the ‘90s with memorable hits like “All The Things Your Man Won’t Do” and “Don’t Wanna Be A Player.” Despite a low-key public profile, Joe has managed to keep his career going strong for over a decade. His latest CD is 2009’s “Signature.”

LEDISI – Multiple Grammy nominee Ledisi has gone from the underground to the mainstream with her jazz-inflected R&B. Her five critically acclaimed CD’s include a jazzy version of Christmas classics as well as the passionately delivered songs she’s best known for. Her latest CD “Turn Me Loose” was released last year.

AIN’T NO PARTY LIKE A HOUSE PARTY

“The House Party” 20th Anniversary Concert

It’s been 20 years since “House Party” came out? Unbelievable! Well, it’s time to celebrate the occasion onboard with the biggest concert celebration of the “House Party” movie ever. Who’s aboard? Just about everyone who made “House Party” hot!

MONTELL JORDAN – The former Def Jam artist was one of the tallest talents in R&B – literally and figuratively. At 6’8”, he towered over the competition and musically, he towered over them with smash hits like “This Is How We Do It” and “Let’s Ride.” Jordan released five albums on the Def Jam label, making him one of its most successful non-rap artists ever.

LISA LISA – With Cult Jam, their hit “I Wonder If I Take You Home” was an instant classic. The New York-based group led by the gorgeous Lisa was produced by the hitmaking group Full Force. Their hit song is as relevant now as it was then. “Can You Feel The Beat” was another classic jam, not to mention forget their heartfelt super-ballad “All Cried Out.” Recently Lisa, born Lisa Velez, played the character Taina’s mother on the hit Nickelodeon series “Taina.”

KID N PLAY – The duo who starred in all three “House Party” movies, Kid N Play were a seminal hip-hop group who hailed from Queens, then a bastion of rap talent. Their fun-loving hits made them one of the most popular duos in hip-hop history and …..
