CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland Police Officers were called to the city's west side, after residents reported seeing a wolf roaming the neighborhood. Officers cornered the animal in the 3400 block of West 59th Street around 2 p-m. Animal Control Officers were called to the scene and put the animal safely on a leash.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - "I don't have the time or the patience to go through protracted conversation about it," Mayor Frank Jackson said this afternoon. The mayor says his new plan reflects an urgency to better educate the district's 42,000 students. The problem is, it seems to run smack up against what the Cleveland Teacher's Union wants. "Ohioans aren't going to really stand for that kind of top down union busting approach," said David Quolke with the Teacher's Union.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland police looking for the suspect who fought with a priest and drove his car into two undercover cops. It happened Monday afternoon at The Annunciation of Greek Orthodox Church on West 14th Street. The priest tells officers the man had come to the church to discuss doing some work on the parish.The priest said they already paid the man $27,000 last October, and the work has not yet been started. The priest told the suspect he was going to call police.

The West Side Market will be celebrating its 100th birthday.

An elderly woman calls North Olmsted Police, after she believes an envelope with $500 in cash is stolen from her purse. This happened at the Drug Mart at 24485 Lorain Road on January 31st. The woman told the Officers she came to the store to drop off a prescription, pay a bill and buy some food. She had taken out $40 to pay her bill at the customer service window and continued shopping. When she got to the check-out, she noticed the envelope was gone.

Average retail gasoline prices in Cleveland have risen 8.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.46/g Sunday. This compares with the national average that has increased 3.0 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.43/g, according to gasoline price website ClevelandGasPrices.com. Including the change in gas prices in Cleveland during the past week, prices Sunday were 30.8 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 3.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 10.2 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 31.9 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit is investigating the dragging death of 16-year-old Rosaura L. Oquendo. It happened Sunday night at 10:30PM on West 81st Street. First District zone cars responded for a female dragged by a vehicle. Once on scene, officers located the unresponsive victim. EMS was notified, responded to the scene and conveyed the victim to MetroHealth Medical Center where she expired from her injuries.
