CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
New bathrooms under construction at Voinovich Park in Cleveland will be gender neutral.
“I was happy to work with and see Cumberland Lakefront, LLC will install gender neutral restrooms at Voinovich Park. My hope is that the City of Cleveland will begin to install unisex public bathrooms therefore ensuring that all Clevelanders feel welcome and to avoid the controversy in other states like North Carolina,” said Councilman Reed in a statement prior to Monday night’s city council meeting.
Reed is referring to North Carolina’s House Bill 2 which dictates which bathroom transgender people can use.
