Meltrice D. Borders, CPA, a native of Cleveland Ohio, is a Finance Manager in the Procurement Department at Forest City Enterprises. She is also responsible for the company’s Corporate Supplier Diversity initiatives. With more than 10 years as a CPA, Meltrice has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of accounting, management and finance. She started her accounting career at Ernst & Young where she worked as an auditor for 3 years prior to joining FCE.

Meltrice received her undergraduate degree from Kent State University and her MBA from Baldwin-Wallace University. She is also a 2012 alumni of the Cleveland Leadership Center’s Bridge Builders program. As Treasurer of the Black Professional Association Charitable Foundation (BPACF) and Director of Planning & Programming for the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival (GCUFF), She devotes a significant amount of her personal time civically and giving back to her community.

She actively attends Philemon Community Baptist Church and is the loving and devoted mother of two beautiful children; Alexis (19) a sophomore at Cuyahoga Community College and Marlon (13) an outstanding young man in every sense of the word. Meltrice often states that her children are her greatest role models, heroes and inspiration.

Meltrice believes in helping people reach their highest potential and is a source of encouragement to many. She lives by the adage “Do something about it” which simply means that although negative circumstances and events happen, we each have the ability to do something or make a choice that can change our outcomes. We each have a choice to either give up or continue the race until our goals are achieved. Never give up!
