After winning four Grammys and creating the viral hit of the year in “Happy” what’s a man to do? If you’re Pharrell Williams its sign on to become a coach for the seventh season of The Voice.
The 41-year-old replaces CeeLo Green in the red swivel chair beginning Monday, Sept. 22. He and fellow newbie Gwen Stefani join returning vets Blake Shelton and Adam Levine on the NBC singing competition show, which Pharrell will barely have time to squeeze into his busy schedule.
In addition to music, the producer has his Moncler Lunettes sunglasses line, a partnership with Adidas, his textile company Bionic Yarn, and an educational non-profit “From One Hand To AnOTHER.
Why add a reality TV show? It’s more or less a four-month commitment – even longer when you factor in the blind audition tapings that film weeks before the season premiere.
