As the days go by, it’s looking more likely that Allen Iverson will no longer be NBA material. He only played a few months in his return to the Philadelphia 76ers last season and left because of health issues with his daughter. Shortly thereafter, the 76ers said that Iverson wouldn’t return. Since then, Iverson has been reaching out to NBA teams in hopes of being signed but interest in him has declined.

Now he’s looking overseas.

Turkish basketball team Besiktas Cola Turka have offered Iverson a one-year deal to come play for them in Istanbul. According to Iverson’s manager, Gary Moore, the former NBA MVP is seriously considering the move.

“This team seems very interested in having him come play,” Moore told the Associated Press. “Allen absolutely wants to play basketball. He has no hesitation going there if that’s the best opportunity for him.”

Apparently the one-year deal would see Iverson earning $2 million for the season plus bonuses, according to Yahoo! Sports. Iverson is keeping his options open however. He’s still in contact with a team in China and is also hoping to hear from an NBA team soon, which doesn’t seem too likely at the moment.
