There’s another Spice Girl on the way!
Melanie Brown and husband Stephen Belafonte are expecting a child together this summer, HELLO! reports. “We’re really thrilled,” Mel says. “We wouldn’t have planned and waited for four years to have a baby if we weren’t excited and ready for it.”
“We’re really happily married, and we’re both very much in love,” Mel says.
When Mel broke the news to music producer Stephen, he cracked open a bottle of champagne, and said, “Baby, enjoy this glass because you can’t drink anymore!”
Despite her joy, Mel says her third pregnancy has been challenging. “The first three months, I was pretty sick and tired, to be honest, which I’ve never been before,” she says.
Mel says she hasn’t “fully decided” if she wants to find out the gender of the baby. But the new addition will be joining lots of big sisters.
Mel has daughters Phoenix, 12, and Angel Iris, 3, while Stephen has one daughter, Giselle, who is turning 7.
Former bandmates Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton are also expecting babies this year.
