Comedian Aries Spears is probably best known for his eight-season run on the now-defunct  “MADtv,” Fox’s edgy answer to “Saturday Night Live.” During the time, he played seemingly every black person alive, often parodying rappers like Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg.

Since the show ended in 2005, Spears has been busy, doing movies and standup. His DVD “Hollywood, Look I’m Smiling” is out now.

Here’s more info on the talented funnyman.

MOST REVEALING QUOTE: “I’ve got to get my LL on, because apparently you can’t make it in Hollywood unless you’re sexy,” Spears told Humormillmag.com last year. “So I gotta lose some weight, and once I get that in pocket, hopefully everything else will fall into place. I’ve been called more fat bastards and thick names on You Tube than you could ever imagine.”

THE REVIEWS ARE IN: “Hollywood, Look I’m Smiling” is Spears’ laugh-out-loud and insightful comedy concert.
