Star Jones was recovering over the weekend after undergoing cardiac surgery last week, People.com reports.

In a statement to People, a representative for the television personality confirmed the procedure.

“On Wednesday, March 17th, a pre-planned cardiac surgery was performed on Star Jones,” the statement read. “This recent surgery is a follow-up to the thoracic surgery she had 30 years ago. The procedure was successful and she is recovering well with her family. Star is grateful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.”

In August 2003, Jones, 47, underwent gastric bypass surgery and subsequently lost 160 pounds. During that time, she was a co-host on “The View.” Initially, Jones said that her weight loss was the result of diet and exercise alone. In 2006, after nine years on “The View,” the show’s producers released Jones from her contract.
