Video: Janet Jackson Talks Tyler Perry and ‘Married’ Sequel
Below is Janet Jackson’s on-set interview for her latest film, ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?,’ where talks about doing the sequel, an update on her character Patricia, and working with Tyler Perry and the cast again.
In the first film, Patricia is a college professor and author of the book,’ Why Did I Get Married?.’ Married to architect Gavin (played by Malik Yoba). The pair present themselves as the perfect couple amongst their closest friends but underneath the smile and advice she dishes out, lays the emotional hurt each feels over the loss of their son. who was killed in a car accident. Eventually they talk to each out and work out their differences.
Returning for the sequel are Perry, Jill Scott, Malik Yoba, Sharon Leal, Tasha Smith, Michael Jai White, Lamman Rucker and Richard T. Jones. Also on board are Cicely Tyson and Academy Award winner Lou Gossett, Jr.
