CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Investigators are now building felony charges against a man who went wild in a city courtroom.

24-year-old June Carson was arrested Tuesday after throwing a tantrum while facing only misdemeanor criminal trespassing charges.

The court says Carson threw a book bag at Judge Marilyn Cassidy, then punched a public defender. The public defender was standing nearby, and was not assigned to Carson when he went on the attack.

19 Action News has learned Carson freaked out after Judge Cassidy said he would have to have an attorney.

It finally took bailiffs and police officers to bring Carson under control. The officers were standing in the hallway waiting for closing arguments to start in the case of two cops on trial for abusing a prisoner.

Cleveland Police Internal Investigators are handling the case, and are likely to file felony charges.
