Euclid Man Killed During Burglary
EUCLID, OH (WOIO) –
A 34-year-old Euclid man is killed after interrupting an apparent burglary at his home.
It happened just after 10PM Monday on Breckenridge.
Police responded to the home after multiple calls to 911 for shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found homeowner DeJohn Dammons lying in the driveway near his car. Dammons had been shot and died at the scene.
Police tell 19 Action News the suspect(s) forced their way into the home and assaulted a woman inside the house.
It is not clear if she was assaulted before or after Dammons was fatally shot.
Police are not releasing any information on her condition or her relationship to Dammons.
