MEDINA TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) –

About 50 animals removed from a Medina Township home Thursday morning, and officials believe the owner was possibly operating a cock fighting ring.

The Medina County Society For the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals went to the South Weymouth Road home around 8:30AM.

They removed mainly roosters and hens, but also pigs, goats, sheep and baby cows.

Officials say the animals all showed signs of neglect.

Medina County Society officials tell 19 Action News they have been watching the property and have been out there numerous times.

The animals will be evaluated by vets before being placed in foster care.

The investigation continues, and there are no arrests at this time.
