Some of R&B’s most soulful songbirds will put their lives on display for a reality show set to air next year.

Billboard.com reports that the Syleena Johnson, Faith Evans, Tweet, Angie Stone, Monifah, KeKe Wyatt and LeLee of SWV have all signed on to star in the upcoming series “Diary of Diva.”

Series creator Nicci Gilbert, who will also appear on the show, said that “Diary of Diva” will be a mix of proven formats. “It’s like an R&B ‘Housewives’ meets an ‘Unsung,’” she explained.

The ladies will try to steer clear of any reality show stigma by attempting to keep things positive as cameras follow them to see what goes on in the personal and professional lives.  And one cast member said that, unlike some other shows featuring housewives, “Diary of A Diva” won’t leave viewers wondering what these women do for work.

“The good news is that you’re dealing with a group of women who have careers and lives and focus, where we don’t really have time to sit around and argue,” Syleena told SoulTrain.com. “So if there’s drama, which I’m sure there will be, there’s definitely going to be resolutions, you’re going to be able to see resolutions as well.”

Simply put, the ladies on “Diary of Diva” will be too busy working to get invovled in petty drama and catfights.

There’s no word on when the show will air, or whether production has even started yet, but fans of the cast will be eagerly awaiting the debut, whenever it may be.
