More details and photos have emerged on rapper 50 Cent’s new wireless headphones, dubbed SYNC by 50, which follow in the footsteps of similar units by Ludacris, Dr. Dre and P. Diddy.

Created in partnership with SMS Audio, models will offer 16-bit lossless digital sound plus volume, playback and obligatory bass boost controls right on the cans themselves, which boast 40mm drivers and memory foam padding. Capable of streaming music up to 50 feet away and available in both black and white options, units are powered by a 3.5mm wireless adapter, included with purchase. Added features also include passive noise-cancellation and options to beam tunes to four individual sets from a single digital source, letting friends sing along with perennial fan favorites like “Piggy Bank” and “In Da Club.”

Fronted by Fiddy’s own SMS Audio label, following the cancellation of an earlier partnership with manufacturer Sleek, the accessories, which claim “professionally tuned digital EQ,” will additionally offer a wired connector and USB charging options. Neither as earthy-crunchy as previous musically branded efforts such as Bob Marley’s signature dome knockers, nor as blinged-out as Lady Gaga’s Heartbeats, the headphones instead opt for a glossy, high-performance aesthetic. Considerably more understated than the sponsoring artist himself, they should nonetheless prove equally capable of bringing the noise, being an answer to the popular Beats By Dr. Dre line of cranium-crushing products.

No official word on pricing or release date has been provided, but given the performer’s fondness for outspoken comments and high-profile publicity stunts, expect the news to register on hip-hop fans’ radars soon enough.
