CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Cleveland Fire Haz Mat teams were called out to the water treatment plant on the city’s west side.

The Garrett Morgan plant on West 45th Street was evacuated after a chlorine leak around one p-m.

Water treatment plant workers say the chlorine came from a leak in a pipe.

A water treatment worker sealed the pipe and the Cleveland Fire Haz Mat team will now inspect the repairs.

There are also fans inside the plant for ventilation.

The water supply is not affected.

At this time, it is now known how much chlorine was leaked.
