NORTH CANTON, OH (WOIO) –
A 4th grade student in North Canton has emergency surgery after a freak accident.
On Monday, the Greentown Elementary student was standing at her teacher’s desk when a rock hurled from a lawnmower crashed through the window and hit her in the head.
The maintenance worker was cutting the grass, when he ran over the rock.
The girl never lost consciousness, but was rushed to the hospital. She had surgery Tuesday for her fractured skull.
She was released from the hospital Wednesday morning.
