Is President Barack Obama a fan of Heavy D & the Boyz?
The U.S. president took time out of his busy schedule to send a letter of condolence to the family of Heavy D, born Dwight Arrington Myers.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. He will be remembered for his infectious optimism and many contributions to American music. Please know that you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers,” the president wrote in a letter, which the Rev. Al Sharpton read during the funeral service, The Associated Press reported.
Heavy D died unexpectedly on November 8.
