LORDSTOWN, Ohio – Emergency crews are at the scene of a fire at the General Motors plant in Lordstown.

WYTV is reporting fire crews got a call about the fire the Trumbull County plant just before 2:30 p.m. The fire is apparently on the roof of the east plant in the complex. It’s not yet clear how large the fire is.

At least five fire departments are at the scene, including Lordstown, Warren Township, Weathersfield, North Jackson and Newton Falls.

The GM plant is actually shut down this week because of slower sales of the Chevrolet Cruze, which is manufactured at that plant.
