Two people have been shot near Lakeshore Boulevard in Cleveland, near the Euclid border, and four people have been arrested.

Police scanner traffic indicated the suspects took off after the shooting on Naumann Avenue around 3:45 p.m. Friday toward Lakeshore Blvd.

They then reportedly ran down the beach along Lake Erie before being caught by authorities. The entire incident happened a block away from former Ohio Gov. George Voinovich’s home.

Neighbors told NewsChannel5 crews at the scene they heard six shots. Cleveland police said two people were injured by gunfire.

Police also said that they discovered 2 kilos of cocaine.

Just before 5 p.m., police expended the perimeter around the crime scene.
