Who Just Got Engaged On The Tom Joyner Morning Show?
What was first thought to be an April Fool’s hoax turns out to be true – that is, at least if Jacque Reid agrees to go through with her marriage to “Tom Joyner Morning Show” co-host, veteran comedian J. Anthony Brown.
In typical J. fashion, Brown announced plans to wed Reid, a “Tom Joyner Morning Show” contributor, before getting the nod from his fiancé.
If things go as planned, Brown said, he and Reid will marry on board the “Fantastic Voyage” cruise on Monday, May 17.
Tom Joyner was as surprised as anyone, although he admits he was aware that J. and Jacque had been dating.
“I didn’t know it had gotten that serious,” according to Joyner. But he went on to say that it didn’t surprise him that Brown would reveal his marriage plans on the radio show.
“It’s kind of what we do around here,” said Joyner. “The crew and the audience are like family. And family should be the first to know!”
