CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Jury selection started Monday morning for the women involved in a McDonald’s melee.

Stacey Matthews and Cedrica Johnson are indicted on charges of felonious assault and assault.

On April 19th, Matthews recruited Johnson to help her confront two teenage girls, both of whom were waiting in line to interview for a position at the fast food restaurant.

After Matthews drove to the McDonald’s, Johnson exited the vehicle, and threatened the victims with scissors. McDonald’s employees attempted to break up the confrontation when Matthews got into her car, reversed it and struck five people: a security guard at McDonald’s; the owner of McDonald’s who suffered swelling and bleeding of the brain, two employees of McDonald’s, one of whom suffered a fractured wrist and received staples in the head; and a bystander.

Both Matthews and Johnson fled McDonald’s in Matthews’ car. Cleveland Police located the car near 107th and St. Clair. Johnson was present and arrested. Matthews fled and eventually turned herself in to Cleveland Police.
