CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) –

New court documents just filed in the Cuyahoga County corruption scandal.

In the motion, prosecutors respond to Jimmy Dimora’s lawyers request to have him released from jail pending appeal. In their reasons for keeping him locked up, there are hints of other crimes.

The filing refers to a sealed government claim that Dimora tried to fix 8 more court cases. And that his wife, Lori, took phone messages from people wanting Dimora’s help in getting cases fixed.

Dimora’s sentencing range is 235 to 293 months. That’s 19 years, 9 months up to 24 years, 7 months.

The filing doesn’t take into account tax charges and other factors that could make it go much higher.
