EUCLID, OH (WOIO) –

Euclid Firefighters battled an overnight fire that happened around 5:20 a.m. on E. 216th near Miller Avenue.

The house was fully involved when firefighters arrived on scene and was threatening neighboring houses.  They were evacuated from their homes as a precaution.

Residents told dispatchers they heard explosions, but Chief Haddock says an addition in the rear of the house partially collapsed, and he believes that is what people heard.

No injuries were reported.

The house is a total loss and the houses next door suffered minor damage.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire.
