CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

If you’re feeling under the weather lately, you’re certainly not alone.

So what’s everyone ailing from?

It seems a rash of random sicknesses are sweeping the city all at once.

At MetroHealth Medical Center, patients are being hit with early and extended seasonal allergies because of early blossoms, and a variety of viruses.

“We started seeing viruses that hung on because we didn’t get to the cold winter that we were expecting. A lot of the things that die off at the end of the fall when it gets super cold didn’t die off” says Metro’s Dr. Christine Alexander.

Dr. Alexander says fluctuating temps and wacky weather are mostly to blame. Those with already weakened immune systems are most vulnerable to what’s going around.
