There are indeed benefits to overnight camps, day camps are less expensive and can provide as much fun as overnight camps. Many day camps allow the same length of days as an overnight camps.

2. Camp Scholarships And Sponsorships

Did you know that there are several scholarships and grants out there for camps? Many summer camps for kids offer scholarships to cover some or all of the camper’s costs. The qualifications depend on the type of camp you would want your child to attend. Various themed camps may offer grants or scholarships. For example, a music camp may want a recording or video of your child playing their desired instrument while a sports camp may want to see your child playing a particular sport. Scholarship money for camps is something to research; perhaps there may be no cost to you as parent for the camp!

3. Payment Plans

More camps are allowing parents to make several payments rather than pay the full amount. Many camps give you the option of starting payment plans months before summer camp begins.

4. Early Bird Camp Rates

Check and see if you can find “early bird” discounts for your desired camp. There may be discounts for registering online by a certain date.

5. Sibling Discounts

Many camps offer discounts if you register more than one child. So if you have several children ask the camp if there are discounts to obtain if several siblings attend the camp.
