CLEVELAND – Kohl’s is adding more holiday help and that could help you if you’re looking for work.
Kohl’s announced Tuesday it will hire more than 52,700 employees this holiday season, a number that’s up more than 10 percent from last year.
The department store said this would equate to hiring averages of 41 associates per store, approximately 5,700 seasonal positions at distribution centers and more than 30 seasonal credit operations positions.
Hiring for associates began this month and is expected to be completed by mid-November, while positions at the company’s distribution centers started being filled in August.
Seasonal employees are eligible to work a few hours to more than 20 hours per week. Typical store jobs include unloading trucks, freight processing, stocking and cash register duties.
Kohl’s has 1,146 stores in 49 states, including multiple locations in northeast Ohio.
