CLEVELAND – Cleveland has ranked among the manliest cities , the best places for 20-somethings and a great location to find love . But finally, this city has received the title we were meant to have: a best beer city in America.
As part of GQ’s beer guide, the magazine named Cleveland as part of the five best beer cities in the country. GQ also considers Cleveland “The Old-School Beertown ,” saying it’s “a hard-working frontier town built on booze.”
Ohio City staples like Great Lakes Brewing Company and Market Garden helped Cleveland earn its spot. There’s also the newly-opened and bicycle-friendly Nano Brew Cleveland.
“In a city where you can watch the symphony orchestra while eating a burger at the Happy Dog bar, the beer is top-notch but down to earth, a welcome respite from snootier beer meccas on the coasts.”
Also on the list are Los Angeles, Denver, New Philadelphia and San Francisco.
So we’ll forgive you, GQ, for putting us on the worst dressed cities list , for now.
