CLEVELAND – Give yourself plenty of time to get into and out of Cleveland on Friday. You’ll see road closures and delays with President Barack Obama in town.

President Barack Obama will be at Cleveland State University’s Krenzler Field Friday for a campaign rally to fire up college students who supported him in big numbers in 2008.

With his visit comes several road closures and delays. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Cleveland police will have the following streets blocked off to traffic:

– East 18th between Chester Ave. and Rockwell Ave.

– Payne Ave. between East 18th and East 24th Street

– Chester Ave. from East 18th and East 24th Street

– East 21st between Chester Ave. and Payne Ave.

Delays are likely on the interstates as well between noon and 6 p.m. that are on the President’s arrival and departure route. This includes I-90.

CSU-area RTA riders will be rerouted throughout the day. Click the following link (.pdf) to see the reroutes: http://on.wews.com/PBkdo3.

Obama will campaign in Colorado, Wisconsin and Virginia before coming to Ohio for the Cleveland State rally.
