Comedian/actor Cedric The Entertainer’s series “The Soul Man” is in trouble after suffering a tremendous ratings loss during the dispute between the network’s parent company Viacom and satellite network DirecTV.

Now Cedric is petitioning fans to write TV Land to assure that the sitcom, which garnered the second largest debut in the network’s history, returns for a second season.

The “King of Comedy” took to his Facebook page and asked fans to help in an open letter that included the name of a network executive for fans of “The Soul Man” to write.

Cedric’s unedited letter read:

Ladies and Gentlemen I need your help… if you liked my show on TV Land, The Soul Man, then please take part in my letter writing campaign to bring it back for a second season. Just use the following letter and email it on… we want to make the biggest impact so if you have a moment please email.”

Thank you, I’ll Holla Cedric
