Superstar Madonna may have had good intentions when she asked her “MDNA Tour” concertgoers if they were registered to vote, but it suddenly went left after she endorsed Barack Obama.
The Material Girl asked during Saturday night’s New Orleans performance, “Who’s registered to vote?” Then said, “I don’t care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama.”
Getting booed for boosting Obama over Romney she followed up with, “Seriously, I don’t care who you vote for … Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote.”
Madonna is known for being candid on stage and this isn’t the first time she’s gotten a negative reaction. Recent Denver concert-goers complained when she used a fake gun to shoot a masked gunman after the mass theater shooting. In July she received backlash in Paris after she showed a video with a Nazi symbol on a politician’s forehead.
