President Barack Obama faced multiple interruptions at a large campaign rally in Cincinnati, Ohio on Sunday, from hecklers protesting the president’s stance on abortion.

Spirits were high as Obama took the stage following a performance by musician Stevie Wonder, but as the president delivered his remarks, a man stood up and began shouting from the rafters. While the pro-Obama crowd quickly drowned the man out with chants of “four more years,” a large cardboard sign reportedly bearing photos of fetuses alongside the words, “this moral wrong should never be a constitutional right” caught the attention of reporters covering the event.

“It’s okay folks. Everybody, it’s okay. We’re good,” Obama told the crowd of 13,500, attempting to maintain the flow of his speech. Moments later, however, he was forced to wait for noise to subside as supporters cheered on law enforcement personnel literally prying the man’s fingers away from a metal railing in their attempt to remove him from the venue.

Obama launched back into his speech, only to be sidetracked by another protester. As police escorted him out of the arena, the president tried to break the tension with a football joke.

“These might have been some Tennessee Titans fans who were mad about the [Chicago] Bears beating them really badly today,” he said, referencing a 51-20 victory by his hometown team.

Obama began again, but didn’t finish without one more interruption.

“We love you!” a supporter shouted, according to the BBC.

“I love you back!” Obama responded.
