CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Cleveland police have made an arrest after discovering an east side warehouse filled with marijuana plants.

Cops say Gregory Scott, Cleveland, turned himself in.  He was arrested at the Third District for Violation of State Drug Law.

Scott is now charged with cultivation of marijuana.

Tuesday at 2:44 a.m., Third District Officers responded to East 24th Street and Lakeside Avenue for an open warehouse door.  Once on scene, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana.  As the officers checked the building, they observed suspected marijuana plants inside.

A search warrant for the building was obtained, and as a result, nearly 200 marijuana plants and marijuana cultivating equipment were confiscated.  The building was unoccupied at the time.

The bomb squad was called to check out the chemicals that were found.

Scott is due in court Thursday morning.
