AKRON, OH (WOIO) –
Akron Police say wanted fugitive, Phillip Pope, 24 turned himself in around 6:00 p.m. Thursday night.
Pope was charged with Aggravated Murder and booked into the Summit County Jail.
Shortly before 10:00 p.m. in the evening on November 28, Pope used a handgun and shot Will A. Lamon, 21, of Akron, while he was sitting in a car near the intersection of Buckingham Street and Fairbanks Place.
Lamon was transported to Akron City Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting appears to be domestic related.
