AKRON, Ohio – Two Akron men are facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 750 grams of cocaine during a traffic stop, worth an estimated $63,000.

Troopers stopped the Oldsmobile Delta for a turn signal and child restraint violation on I-77 northbound, near milepost 123, in Summit County just before 2 p.m. Monday.

A probable cause search of the car turned up the drugs and $17,955 in cash. Hypodermic needles and metal spoons were also found.

Robert Weaver, 55, and Rodney Davis, 47, both of Akron, were arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine.

Both men are behind bars at the Summit County Jail. If convicted, they could each face up to 20 years in prison and up to a $40,000 fine.
