According to Fox Sports reporter Jay Glazer, the Cleveland Browns have fired Head Coach Pat Shurmur and General Manager Tom Heckert this morning. Pat Shurmur had a record of 9-23 as coach of the Browns in his two years and faced some challenges including the lockout shortened off season last season.

Tom Heckert was responsible for drafting players such as Joe Haden, Trent Richardson, T.J. Ward, and Josh Gordon and many believe he did an admirable job in replenishing the talent on the roster in his three years with the team.

The Browns, led by new owner Jimmy Haslam and CEO Joe Banner, will begin the search for a new coach immediately according to reports. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
