CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Mayor Frank Jackson has just pitched his budget for all of 2013.

The total for the city comes in at $1.3 billion and the Mayor is boasting yet another year of a balanced budget.

Partially because of a surge of new jobs within the city the Mayor was working with a $50.5 million surplus from last year.

Some of that money will be used to hire 25 ready-to-go police officers, four new ambulances and staff, and for the first time the city will have to make its bond payment for Cleveland Browns Stadium out of the general fund.

Those payments had been made using “sin tax” money, which were dollars collected on alcohol and cigarettes.
