STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – Strongsville High students are calling the school a chaotic place to be Monday, the first day of the teachers strike.

A senior told NewsChannel5 that substitute teachers took attendance and then students mobbed the hallways, causing administrators to put them in the auditorium. He said many kids have called parents and are leaving school early.

@DilleCollin tweeted at us “mosh pit crowd surfing and utter chaos in strongsville high school #strongsvillestrike #2013″

@Weiser_5 tweeted: “school was a joke at strongsville today kids just started walking out and chanting in halls”

Two more Strongsville students just skipped the day altogether, with the support of their mother.

Freshman William Brown and his 10th grade brother joined teachers in picketing with signs that read “Need a Bandaid” and “For that scab?”

“I wanna support quality teachers in the classroom cause without them it’s just bad,” the freshman said.
