OBERLIN, OH (WOIO) –

Classes at Oberlin College were canceled on Monday after several hate-related incidents.

Students say that for the past several months, there have been flyers posted around campus degrading African Americans and homosexuals.

Early Monday morning, there was a report of a person wearing a KKK outfit on campus. The incident remains under investigation.

Students and faculty are encouraged to participate in a series of events planned for Monday, March 4.

  • 12 p.m. at Lord Lounge, Afrikan Heritage House
    Teach-in led by Africana Studies Department
  • 2 p.m. at Wilder Bowl
    Demonstration of solidarity
  • 3:30 p.m. at Finney Chapel
    Community convocation: “We Stand Together”
